Quick task lists for the work that isn't a workflow
Not everything needs a template. QuickLists are lightweight, ad hoc task lists for one-off to-dos and quick collaborative projects — right alongside your recurring runs, with the same due dates, reminders, assignments, comments, and data collection.

Not every task deserves a whole workflow
Recurring processes belong in a workflow. But the one-off punch list, the quick shared to-do, the personal follow-ups — those don't need a template. QuickLists give that work a home in Manifestly instead of a sticky note or a stray spreadsheet.
- Sticky notes and scattered docs
- A throwaway workflow no one reuses
- Tasks with no owner, due date, or trail
- A list you spin up in seconds
- Due dates, reminders, and assignees
- Right beside your recurring runs
From idea to shared list in three steps
Start a list
Give it a name and choose whether it's private to you or shared with your team. No template, no recurrence — just a list, ready in seconds.
Add your tasks
Type them one at a time, group them under sections, or paste a whole batch at once — one task per line. Drag to reorder as priorities shift.
Assign, track, complete
Set due dates, assign owners, and check tasks off as they're done. Clear the finished ones out with one click when the list is a living to-do.
Every task is as capable as a workflow step
A QuickList is lightweight to create, but the tasks in it are not thin. Each one can carry the same details you rely on inside a run — so a quick list never means giving up dates, ownership, or accountability.
- Set a due date and layer on reminders so nothing quietly slips.
- Assign a task to a teammate on a shared list and drop comments right on it.
- Add notes, tags, and subtasks to break bigger items down.
- Turn on data collection to capture a value or answer as the task gets done.
Note: power drops are on the north wall — bring the long extension.
Build the list as fast as you can think of it
Capture tasks however they come to you. Add them one at a time, keep things organized with section headers, or dump a whole brain-dump in at once — every line becomes its own task. Then drag them into the order that makes sense.

Keep it to yourself, or share it with the team
When you create a QuickList you choose how it's shared. A private list is your own space for personal to-dos. Make it public and it becomes a collaborative list — teammates join in, and you can assign individual tasks to the people who own them.
- Private — visible only to you, for your own running to-do list.
- Public — shared with your team so everyone sees the same list and can be assigned tasks.
- Once teammates have joined a shared list, it stays shared — no one's tasks vanish behind a switch back to private.
Only you can see it.
Shared — tasks assigned to owners.
Everything you can add to a task
What teams keep in a QuickList
One-off projects
The trade-show setup, the office move, the launch punch list — work that happens once and doesn't warrant a template.
Spin up a shared list, assign owners, and check tasks off as the event comes together.
Personal to-dos
Your own running list of follow-ups and reminders, private to you and always at hand.
Keep a private list with due dates and reminders so nothing personal falls through.
Quick team collaboration
A shared list for the week's ad hoc tasks — who's doing what, without standing up a whole process.
Make it public, assign tasks, and let comments keep the conversation on the task itself.
